Happy New Year!

Presents are opened (and used!), resolutions are made (and broken!), and my Google calendar is updated with January and February classes.  WOOT!

I got some fantastic gifts from my family this year.  My dad and stepmom gave me a Cuttlebug and a couple of embossing folders, my mom and stepfather gave me money to buy Spellbinders and made a trip to their local scrapbooking store to get some Sizzix embossing folders, Mike gave me MORE embossing folders, and my new inlaws gave me the Wilton 177 piece Ultimate Cake Decorating Set, a Trim n Turn Ultra Cake Turntable, and new jewelry tools.  I'm in crafting HEAVEN!!!  I have so many tools, and I want to use them all at the same time!

As for resolutions, I resolve to lose weight, keep my crafting area organized and the rest of the house free from crafting odds and ends, and keep this blog updated.  I have so many classes coming up over the next few months that I want to share.  Look for pictures of class samples periodically as well as pictures of crafty things I make.

Here's to a beady and fun 2011!

Restarting the blog

Charge to 300. CLEAR! *whoosh* IT'S ALIIIIIIVE!!!

OK, I'm going to restart this blog. Why? I have a ton going on in my personal and professional life, and I want to share all the news with you. So what's new? I've moved in with my boyfriend of 7 months. Then three days later, on April 16, he proposed. We've set "the date" for October 9, 2010.

In the mean time, I've gotten a side job at the new Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts on Almaden and 85 as their jewelry instructor. It really came out of the the blue, and I jumped at the chance. I'll post my class schedule and samples as soon as I have pictures.

If that's not enough, I've made new jewelry for Cranberry Hill Mercantile and Cottage Crafts Boutique. There's a cupcake necklace, cupcake earrings, Swarovski crystal necklace/earring/bracelet sets, and other new items. Plus, I'm selling some extra Czech glass beads at Cranberry Hill. You'll find a complete selection of 4mm and 6mm firepolished beads, round (druk), rectangles, ovals, glass pearls, and more. Coming soon are bell flowers and leaves.

Well, that's it for this post. Check back soon for all the latest news and bling. :D

Teeny Tiny Peruvian Ceramic Earrings

Finally, finally, finally I made, photographed, and uploaded pictures of 123 earrings made from teeny tiny Peruvian ceramic beads. You read that right: One hundred twenty three! It's only taken 3 or 4 years to do this, but I had a free day and wanted to work on this project. Just go to my Web site and click on Jewelry, then Teeny Tiny Earrings.

Here's a little taste of what's available.

June Creativity

Welcome to my blog! This is something I've wanted to do for a while, but I didn't think I was disciplined enough to keep up with this. But I think it's time to start a new adventure. :)

After I moved into a new place in late May, my creativity just exploded all over the place! But I have to keep it cleaned up and under control. ;) Over the next few days, I'll be posting all the neat things I've created.
Up first is a necklace, earring, bracelet set I've had in my mind for a long time now but haven't had the time or inspiration to actually make it happen. Once I sat down with my tray and tools, it actually came together rather quickly.

The set is made entirely from Czech glass beads. Each flower on the necklace is made with a milky yellow firepolished bead, opaque white bell flower, pressed olivine leaf, and olivine firepolished beads on a silver plated headpin. Then a single milky pink or milky purple firepolished bead is placed on a headpin and attached to the necklace. Olivine firepolished beads and olivine leaves complete the necklace. The surgical steel earrings and stretchy bracelets are made from the same beads.

If you would like to purchse any of these pieces, please contact me. The necklace is $39, the small and large bracelets are $10 each, and the earrings are $7 alone, $5 with a bracelet purchase, or free with a necklace purchase. Upgrade to sterling silver or gold filled ear wires for only $1, and shipping is a flat $2 in the United States no matter how many pieces you purchase!
